Rain City Comicon is a local gem! There's a real sense of community between artists who feel friendly and welcoming---they're the kind of people you can talk to as people. I'm very excited to return this year!

What I enjoyed about Rain City Comicon last year was the energy and excitement that I felt from all the participants that day! It felt great to be part of a community of folks that enjoyed connecting and appreciating the various graphic forms and styles that were available that day. I had the pleasure of developing my own artistry through opportunities such as creating promotional graphics for the event, and also go the chance to learn more about the Canadian publishing scene. Looking forward to enjoying this year's event as well!

RAINCITY, and every event run by the organizer of these comic events in the Greater Vancouver Area, are always a wonderful time highlighting artists who work very hard to bring culture and insight to the community. All of the workers and volunteers for these events are so kind and wonderful to everyone who is a part of these conventions

I loved a lot of things about the event, starting with how communicative both you the organizer and vendors on the discord server you set up. It was (and still continues to be) extremely collaborative and welcoming, making it a really positive experience in communication.
The event experience itself was also a fun experience for me as well, since prior to the event we also had a chance to even pitch our comic book idea to publishers (provided we follow instructions on making a proper pitch doc) in between tabling at our booths.
The atmosphere of raincity comicon was friendly and the organizers, attendees, vendors all provided an extremely supportive vibe to one another, which made me want to apply again this year

It was a really successful event, especially we were being recognised by the local news! We also got a variety of artists with different styles and focus, which was really fascinating to see everyone coming together!
Thanks for organising!

Last year, John and crew willed Rain City Comicon into existence, filling a VanCAF sized void in convention season.
Not only was it a fun show full of great creatives, but it was my most successful con to date! I look forward to seeing everyone at the next one.

Rain city Comic-Con is a blast. Good art, good company, what else do you need?

Rain City Comicon was the 3rd arts convention I tabled at. It was memorable because I was reunited with folks I met at New West Comic Fest, but also discovered new artists and inspiring works. I also learned a lot more about table placement and what made passersby more inclined to flip through my zines and comics. Gratitude to John and his team for keeping the spirit of comics going - thank you for all you do.

Rain City Comicon is a lovely community driven event that brings forth the connections we make with each other through art and comics.
Being able to have a space to showcase all kinds of art from new artists to veteran artists is so important for the community, and Rain City Comicon does just that.
I loved being able to find new artists and make connections with great people at Rain City Comicon, both as an attendee and artist.
I'm really stoked about this years event can't wait for it next month!!

Raincity 2025 was a wonderful experience. More than a market, it really felt like an artist's community event. Everyone is very kind and sharing in on the fun.
I am very excited for the 2026 Con, it will be bigger and better!
