Kobie Gingras-Fox, Magnus van der Marel and Meg Randall
Kobie Gingras-Fox is a Vancouver Illustrator who leans towards windows like a plant to light. Her art features nature, connections, and her dog Kona. When not drawing, she is most likely found hiking in the mountains.
Magnus:
I am an illustrator, comic artist, and cat person, recently graduated from Emily Carr University. My work is inspired by a love of stories, mythology, fantasy, and the supernatural. I have a passion for creating character and emotion-driven narratives, revolving around themes of love, transformation, and LGBTQ+ identity.
My practice mostly involves the combination of art and text in some way, whether that be in comics, or illustrations accompanying or interpreting text. I work primarily in digital, but also ink, paint marker, watercolour, and gouache, and a whole lot of printmaking.
Meg:
Meg Randall is an English-Canadian illustrator and cartoonist. After graduating Emily Carr University of Art + Design in 2021, Meg has worked in a variety of artistic fields, including background layouts and paint for animation and games, children’s book illustration and freelance work. She is also something of a historical hobbyist, and brings out the silly parts of history in her personal comics. For the last few years she’s been stuck down an icy crevasse learning all about the history of Antarctic Exploration, so she might need a hand up!
